Pogo GPS Location Systems now have the benefit of the Origin 360 Database, which allows us to manufacture units to suit any individuals needs. From the Pogo Alert and Pogo Drive incorporate a comprehensive UK camera database
All Pogo products benefit from having the Origin360 Speed Camera Database pre-loaded at the time of purchase.
Quality Assured Database
Origin360 is the longest established and most comprehensive UK speed camera database available.
GPS based speed camera location systems are only as good as the location information that is stored within them; therefore it is essential that your system uses the best there is.
Origin Technologies (manufacturer of Pogo Alert and Pogo Drive) have long been the pioneers of GPS speed camera detection, so it’s no surprise that the Origin360 database leads the way in accuracy and consistency. The Origin360 data collection team consists of mobile ‘field’ based staff, as well as trained administrators based at Origin’s London HQ.
The speed at which the Origin360 team works is impressive. For instance, the target for adding new camera sites to the database is just 48hours; most, however, are logged and updated within 24 hours.
Even when temporary cameras are installed in stretches of motorway roadworks, the Origin360 team will plot them almost immediately. Often, of course, these temporary cameras move along with roadworks, but our data collection team moves with them, re-plotting on a daily basis if necessary.
The Origin360 database comprises of the most comprehensive number of locations and camera types available, including: Gatso, Truvelo, Watchman, DS-2, Speedcurb, SPECS Average Speed Cameras and accident blackspots. Additionally, the database includes the speed limits at all these locations. Time sensitive alerts are also provided for schools and congestion charging zones.
The Origin360 database currently covers the UK and the Republic of Ireland. A database covering other European countries is currently under development.
Origin360 Subscription Information
Each Pogo product comes pre-loaded with the Origin360 speed camera database, although we do recommend that users register their product and complete a download as soon as possible after purchase. Doing so will ensure that the most up-to-date data is available to your device.
Given that on average over 100 changes are made to the Origin360 speed camera database every month, it's well worth updating your Pogo product regularly.
Your Pogo product is supplied with a free 6 month data download subscription. After this free period has elapsed, an annual subscription charge of £50 (including VAT) will apply.
